The vision of King’s Church is clear: to make Jesus known in Washington, DC through enduring presence that brings personal conversion, purposeful living, and community reconciliation. Currently, we meet in rented spaces that restrict our ability to fully serve our growing congregation. With a permanent home, we can ensure that King’s Church remains a gospel-centered presence in a city marked by spiritual vacancy. We are looking for donors who can help our young congregation raise $3 million for a building in the heart of our city.

Timeline
The Plan:
Any capital campaign requires work and perseverance, but two factors make a capital campaign especially hard for King’s Church. First, our congregation is very young; the average age of a member at King’s Church is 27. Second, property in Washington, DC is very expensive. To accommodate for these challenges, our campaign will proceed in 5 phases:
-
Launch Phase: Marked by internal fundraising and searching for properties. We aim to raise ~$2 million from our congregation.
-
Readying Phase: We approach our internal goal and begin to meet with Christian lending institutions to discuss a loan of $3-4 million.
-
Partner Phase: We begin looking for external, kingdom-minded partners to raise an additional $1-2 million. This could be you!
-
Closing Phase: We secure and close on our permanent property.
-
Moving Phase: We conduct any necessary renovations and move our congregation into its home.
