Good Neighbor

Good Neighbor is a compassionate and outward-focused initiative dedicated to serving and uplifting our local community in Washington DC and Northern Virginia. By partnering with multiple local nonprofits, we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus, extending love and support to those in need. The ministry is deeply committed to fostering positive change, addressing community challenges, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of our neighbors. Through volunteer efforts, outreach programs, and collaborative initiatives, we actively seek to meet both the tangible and spiritual needs of the community. The Good Neighbor Ministry exemplifies the heart of King's Church DC, demonstrating the transformative power of Christ's love by actively engaging with and serving the diverse and vibrant neighborhoods that surround us.

Good Neighbor also serves the local DC community through project teams with 3 specific aims:

The Jireh Project - A project of Good Neighbor, the primary goal of Jireh is to love, support, and care for functional widows and orphans in our community so that they may come to know the God Who Provides.

The Jubilee Project - A project of Good Neighbor, the primary goal of Jubilee is to demonstrate love towards our marginalized neighbors by meeting practical needs so that they may come to know the God Who Sees.

Project Shepherd - A project of Good Neighbor, the primary goal of Shepherd is to build relationships with individuals in our community so that we can share the gospel and lead them into a relationship with the God Who Saves.

These project teams create church-wide volunteer opportunities for our congregation to know, love, and serve our community well.
